General description

Building on the Bachelor’s, the Master’s study program imparts enhanced, deeper and specialized knowledge in both a contemporary and historical respect. Those completing the program are able to place the scholarly discourses in which the fields treated by German language and literature, including new forms of communication and media representations, are debated, in the context of research and assess them critically. They are able to take a scholarly approach to and reflect on specialist questions using the relevant methods and theories, clearly structure complex issues, and apply them to new issues and problems.
