General description

The minor in Interdisciplinary Archaeological Sciences imparts an in-depth knowledge of the sources, material, and methods of archaeometry, bioarchaeology, geoarchaeology, and comparative archaeology. The program examines the physiographic relationships in human societies, juxtaposing cultural developments on a large scale from a global and diachronic perspective on the basis of material remains and cultural and anthropological comparison.
The focus is on independent scholarly work, structured, analytical, and connected thinking, and critical engagement with sources, methods, and research findings. The minor in Interdisciplinary Archaeological Sciences gives those completing a major in a related subject an additional qualification.
